Support the Canine Members of the Armed Forces Act, amended into National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2013:

Military Working Dogs are classified as equipment. When the military is done with them, they are excess equipment & there is no further responsibility for them. Their civilian medical bills are expensive.

Working with the woman who was able to get this matter brought before Congress, Lisa Phillips, NC Rep Jones & CT Sen Blumenthal introduced The Canine Member of the Armed Forces Act.

Walter Jones, author of the Canine members of the Armed Forces Act, drove down to Lisa Phillips’ adoption of Marine Sgt Rambo from Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point.

Rep Jones and Lisa worked day and night on the Canine Members of the Armed Forces Act since August 2011. They want to make sure America’s retiring Military Working Dogs are honored for their service and that their retirement life is as comfortable and peaceful as it can be.
